Prior to finally splurging and buying one for myself, I had cooked with a few of their cast iron series pieces on several occasions and always loved them. I chose this larger 7-1/4 quart because I prefer to cook once and eat for a few days after on the leftovers.My first dish in the new (cassis finish) round oven was an Indian butter masala, to which I added grilled tandoori-style chicken. Excellent results! Smooth, even cooking, great heat retention, and easy clean up afterward. I was a little concerned that the turmeric in the masala might discolor the enamel finish on the inside, but it came away spotless with a quick scrub from the nylon brush. You need to let it sit a while after cooking and then fill it with some water and a little soap for a few, but so far it has cleaned up every time with minimal effort.
